Background
Around the year 2087, a long time of famine and political instability caused increasing problems in the country. Finally, when terrorism was an everyday problem and civil war seemed almost inevitable, the military occupied state by emergency decree. A dictatorship was established to force law and order back to the country. Times were hard, and hardly anyone agreed with the new state of control - at least as a permanent measure. When, three years later, the worst problems had subsided, everyone expected the state to resign and democracy to return.
If it was out of fear of another crisis or only greed, noone knows, but it does not really matter either - all known is that the dictator refused resignment.
Rebellion returned. Not wanting the past years to repeat themselves, state lashed out brutally - but this act only created more enemies. Civil war between the military and the rebels raged for a long time - with heavy losses on both sides, and basically destroying the country's infrastructure and economy. Now (2094), the war is almost over. The greatest part of the rebellion has been beaten back, and the army's current task is mainly to reorganise the country.
