Creator smiled back and nuzzled. "Heh, at least I am left with a lot of the power source they had me trying to get to work... it's a new technology and they'll miss it... I think I'll keep it and lay low, because they were not keeping with the law. A lot of reasons exist that they should be ruined... and all of their money is put into what's in my quarters. Luckily for us, I added an impressive cloaker to the ship that deflects any form of radar, so they'll be out looking for nothing..." He chuckled at that.

Xal laughed and nibbled his closest mandible slightly.

Creator laughed and nuzzled and nibbled hers in return as he said, "Ah, not when rushed."

Xal closed her eyes and sighed.
"If only life were not so busy." She opened an eye and looked at Creator.

"Well... my own life has just become very not busy at all... I only have myself now, and whatever experiments take my fancy... but I don't think that's all anymore, is it?" Creator eyed Xal fondly and smiled.

Creator was nervous but decided to speak his mind. "I really like you. And yet I feel like I am making a complete idiot of myself..."

Creator nuzzled back, though in the back of his mind the nervousness at this new feeling was growing, though he was quiet and did not show it. Swiftly switching subjects, he asked, "I wonder... becoming a permanent member of the crew of this ship... I think I can do a lot of research for my work just in the spare time I would have..."

"I think I will use my suddenly empty schedule to the advantage of this ship." Creator chuckled. "It isn't like I have anything better to do, and I will still have time to tinker around with science!"

Creator chuckled and touched his mandible to hers, thinking of how interesting it would be to be on a crew under her leadership. "I agree." Just then, some of the blue smoke caught his eye, but it was no longer smoke, but was forming crystals on the cleaned up mess of his food. He gaped and then jumped up with a scream! "THAT IS IT!!! I'VE GOT IT!!!" and he tripped over himself while running to the lift and jamming the switch over and over again as he waited impatiently for it to come.

"IT'S FAT!!! IT CRYSTALLIZES THE POWER SOURCE AND RENDERS IT USABLE!!!" The lift opened and he tripped over himself and fell flat, but was still laughing with joy.

Xal stood over him.
"Is that good, or are you laughing because you are utterly distraught?" She grinned.

He quickly got up and shook his head. "No no no, it is more than good! And I will not be giving them their source after all! We can leave promptly, they will never find us. I no longer exist to them, we are that well hidden, and I can profit and spend the profits on this crew!"

"Where will we go?" She blinked.

"Stay on course! They know not of my whereabouts. I never leave a trace of myself!" The lift stopped and he tore off to the broken board and the last canister of power, and started madly fiddling with it.

"Hmm." She watched him. "Oh, oh... I see..." She watched closely.

Creator took a bit of food left on one of his mandibles and stuffed it into the canister, and watched with growing delight as it crystallized. He then took it and crunched it pu, then took the powder and filled the power supply of another completed circuit, then powered it on. It ran smoothly and he jumped, hitting his "head" hard and laughing like crazy.

"Careful," Xal warned him. She watched curiously, still.
The Portal-Opener's fins twitched excitedly.

Creator whipped around to face Xal and presented the simple circuit board with a very tiny power source, the size of a pinhead, emitting a bright blue glow. "THIS is the wave of the FUTURE!! That power source is ELTSF, or Extreme Low Temperature and Size Fusion! This can stay powered for decades and decades, or it can power a very large ship or device for years! I would be a fool to give it to so horrible a firm as who gave it to me to refine!!!"
