Time of Darkness

Mire was unaffected by his comment and threw the spear of Ice at Arcan.
"Nay, Kaltoras. Thee shall not find oneth which one has lost" It hissed.
Mire threw another Frost ball at Arcan.

Arcan snorted, tried to move and couldn't.
"What... did you do?" His voice came out raspy, a bit weak.

"Me? Nothing, I simply threw ice at you, you are luckly, someone has not had such good luck" It said, again imitating Nara's voice at the end.
Mire charged up another frost spear.

Arcan paused to process the information.
"What... happened to her?"
He knew what the cracking sound from earlier had been, as blood seeped down him.
He blink a few times.

Mire cackled.
"Oh, Her father only made her teleportation spell teleport her right into his claws"
Mire's icy spear grew larger.

"Where is she?" Arcan coughed, vagley aware that Narsara was laughing.

"Naralda? In the shadow court of the Wratharia marsh" Mire replied, then threw the spear at Narsara.

Narsara looked almost too surprised when the spear hit her.
Arcan struggled to get up.
"What... did you do..?"

"To her? Nothing, yet. We're just keeping her in a room... for now..." Mire said, before the slime colasped and then slided away under the trees and disappeared.

Arcan gritted his teeth then fell, ditto his minions.

"So then, speak Tale, or just remove your foul presence" Nara hissed.
"Not yet, you are going to help me soon" Tale replied.
"I'd like to see you try getting me to" Nara replied.
"I don't need to, your presence alone is required, oh, i've invited Alazan and Kelen too, so you won't be alone, shame Naythia cannot attend"
Nara threw a Frostball at Tale.

Narsara must have recovered before Arcan, because when he woke up, he had been tied to a tree.
He presumed the blood on the ground was his.
The Necromancer drew himself into a ball, unwilling to look at her.

Tale deflected the frost ball.
"Too simple" He said. "I'll leave you here then, but I will be back"
"Don't" Nara said, throwing another frost ball at the wall.

Narsara sat on a log in front of Arcan.
"Oh, Deja Vu." She said.
Arcan allowed his eye to open, although it hurt.
"Eh?" He mumbled.

Nara watched Tale leave. She sighed.
"Why..." She muttered, remembering something.
A tear fell from her eye.

Narsara shrugged.
"Want me to remind you?"
"No, no, my memory is... fine..." Arcan said grimly.
He shifted slightly.
"But... why have you tied me to a tree?"

Tale waited afew moments, and heard her crying.
"Strange..." Tale muttered, before walking away from the door. He walked into a larger room.

"No reason..." Narsara said, dismissing the 'rope'.
"Now, mind getting the HELL out of my face?" Arcan said.

Nara tried to stop crying.
"I wonder..." She said, and looked at a draw and opened it. She pulled something out.

Narsara backed away.
"You're still too close." He said.
"Really?"
"Yes."
"You're ridiculous." Narsara said, realized what he was about to do, but extended her own tendril to meet his.
light flashed between them, then the two thing wrapped around eachother, fighting to reach the others owner.

Nara brushed some dust off the book.
"A necromancy book..." She flipped through it.
"Dark Recall, teleport yourself to one of five sources of undead power" She muttered.
"A dark graveyard forest, banshees haunt..." She shuddered. "Glacier of death, tower of Twilight and Tower most high Aduna. Worth a try"
Nara muttered a spell.

Arcan released Narsara's leaving her to fall over, suddenly unbalanced.
He held her to the flood with one of his clawed feet.
"I'm leaving. And you're going to help me."

Nara finished the spell.
Nothing happened.
Nara sighed and looked though the other pages of the book.

"Help you, by-"
"By staying here." Arcan said over her. Then Narsara was unconscious.
Arcan grinned to himself.

Nara closed the book and put it back and got out her diary. She opened it.
She checked the draw and got a quil and ink and began to write.

Arcan was.... almost nervous at this point.
To go on meant to move through that village, and with that many minions in tow, there wouldn't be much doubt about... what he was.
He shrugged, and kept going.
