Time of Darkness

Viahl dropped the sword along with his mother.
He sat down slowly, shuddering.

"Viahl, what are you doing here...?" Nara asked.
"Oh, thank you..."

Viahl didn't answer her.
He looked at Nara blankly, and a tear fell from his right eye.

Nara went down to her knees.
"Viahl, you shouldn't of done that..." She murmered.

Viahl shook his head.
He felt dizzy.
"Nara? Arcan... looks a bit... dead."

Nara looked at Arcan.
"Your mother Drank from him..."

"Good." Viahl said, glaring at the ground.

Arcan's eye opened a little.
"Excuse... me?"

Nara fell to the floor and coughed.
"Ugh..."

"Nara?" Viahl asked, setting his distress and regret aside.
Arcan somehow managed to reach them also.

"So...r....r...y..." She wheezed, coughing again.

Arcan shuddered and collapsed near them.

Naralda groaned.
"One problem after another" She said, coughing again.

"Nara...?" Arcan coughed, a small amount of blood escaping him.

Nara went up to Arcan.
"Are... you... alright?" She asked.

Arcan looked a Narsara.
"Not really..." He sighed sadly.

Nara sighed and looked at Viahl and shrugged.

Arcan breathed a little more slowly, his breath rattling slightly.
"What about... you?"

"I am fine" Nara lied, coughing slightly.

Arcan tensed up and coughed hard, again.
"I feel worse..." He said.

Nara looked at Viahl.
"Any suggestions?"

Viahl shrugged.
"He should be... fine." He said slowly.
Arcan groaned.

"Probably, of course, that or another round of my healing spell, Arcan?" Nara said.

Arcan's teeth chattered.
He didn't reply, though, just looked at her for a while.

Nara looked away and watched a bird.
She began to hum quietly.

Arcan's eye closed after a while.
"Do I have a purpose?" He asked Nara.

Nara didn't hear him and just stared at the sky. Lost in her own thoughts.
