Time of Darkness

He'd burned something into the ground, that 'M', that looked like a slanted '1' in it's appearance, where people could see it.
He needed people to know his status, what - or who - he was.
He needed someone to give him an answer, or a reason, to why he was alive.
But he felt as empty as he'd ever been.

Nara went deeper into the cave and saw a spring. She walked over to it and sat down.
She cried.

They were all arguing.
Arcan had seen many like it, but this was an interesting one.
While they all agreed that, at this point, they shouldn't be fighting each other, no-one had said anything on the subject of Naralda.
He sighed, looking back into the structure.
"Always just another lie?" He asked himself.

A demon got up and looked around the tomb.
"Gragh, must of been hit by a traitor, now to recover the book-"
The demon howled in rage, the noise echoed thoughout the tomb.

OOC: Pwnd.

The noise made him wonder where Nara even was.
He didn't want to care, not now.

The demon ran through some corridors and noticed the party which had 'saved' Nara.
"Nay, Cantamla le boan!" It hisseed at them, drawing its Axe.

They always lied...
All of them had lied.
Still, he was angry.
His claws made slight tapping noises as he re-entered the building.
"What is this place?" He asked himself.

Nara stopped crying, and took out a bottle and filled it with water from the spring.
"I lied... to them all... but why Nara?..."

Arcan leaned on a wall, and allowed a tear to defy his otherwise dark expression.

Nara drank the water.
"I hate myself... for this..." She muttered angrily.

Arcan continued.
He didn't know what he was looking for, or even if he was looking for anything...
Perhaps he felt it would help fill the empty spaces he felt inside him.

Nara sighed and drank some more water.
"Maybe I shouldn't have overreacted... still..."

Arcan looked at the walls.
There was nothing particularly interesting.
"Anyone?" He called halfheartedly.

One of the bricks in the wall seemed dislodged.

Nara got some more water just incase then moved towards one of the tunnels.

Arcan tapped the brick with one finger.

The wall suddenly turned clockwise to reveal the hole in the wall leading into some caves.

Arcan shuffled into the gap, nervously.
He coughed.

A voice could be heard.
"... Those fools will not notice me gone intill I'm past the most dangerous zones and they have been repopulated by monsters anyway... "

"Fools?" Arcan blurted out, trying not to cough.

Nara lit a torch then walked into the eastern tunnel quickly.

Arcan kept moving, although we wasn't sure where to or why.
His eye's light cast a dim glow.

Nara continued on, not noticing him because of the torch.

Arcan almost fell over, gripping a wall.

Nara stopped to listen, shrugged then carried on.

Arcan hurriedly regained his balance.
He narrowed his eye, confused by the place.
He sighed quietly.

Nara entered a room mostly filled with Lava but still some stone to walk on.
"The strange site I can use is... fourth level, this is the first" She muttered angrily and drew her dagger.
