Time of Darkness

"I'll go on without one, Duskshadow was a vampire itself anyway" She reasoned.
"I'll head to the tomb however, see if I can stop those Demons"

Then Serak roared.
It even make Narsara, dying, open an eye.
She murmured something, then closed it again.

It was only a short time after the first time.
Then he'd wondered what he was here for. What did his name mean?

He only knew now.
It meant 'Defense', the defense of the 'Defenders.'
Indeed,
He thought to himself,
Hal has not yet seen the last of the Mathica.

Even as their fortress, in all it's age, all it's undying glory, fell on itself and everything in it.
Anyone could still see the beacon.
And it would not to ignored.

Nara headed west for afew minutes then turned east.
"Celestial Ancestral tomb should be near here, undoubtly I will see a Demonic portal though"

Meanwhile, Viahl was left alone, apart from Serak.
He could understand his parents now;
Even if someone seemed to know you, even if you seemed go know them, even if you trusted them with your life and everything in it;
Even if you loved them, they would still kill you. It was the base instinct of any creature -
Kill, or be killed.
He looked at Serak, who glared back at him, although the glare was simply one of pain.
"I'm going to kill them all." He said, then looked back the way of the recently-formed ravine.
"And I'm going to need help." He murmured.

It was, indeed, a loop in which the Mathica seemed to have become trapped in.

OOC: The bone fortress will return.

Nara saw the tomb and the portal closing.
"Definity more then imps here" She muttered, and threw a Frost ball into the lone imp guarding, killing it.

Serak wondered why Nara had gone to a place like this.
He might even have asked if Viahl hadn't shouted down at her.

Nara panicked and threw a spell at the tombs door, blasting it open, she ran into the tomb.

A purple substance slided across the floor and formed into a undead.
"NEAT TWYALL!"

Viahl wasn't in a mood for caution.

-The Goliath's fortress-

The absence the fortress's three guestes had not gone unnoticed.

-Where ever Larhan is-

The figure paused.
"Amost dead, but getting better..."

-Back where we started at, the tomb thingy-

Viahl peered into the place after her.

The ghost collasped on itsself and slided into the tomb.
The bodies of humanoid demons were on the floor.

Nara threw a frostball which hit a imp in the chest and it fell over, another one flew at a humanoid demon.

Still, even with his limited time there, Arcan had been able to tell the people he needed - right now - exactly where to go.

Viahl shouted after Nara.
He just wanted to know why she was going in there.
Why would she go there?

Nara ignored him completely. She entered the largest room.
"No..." She drew a small dagger and stabbed the Demon Counciller just before he escaped with the book.

"Nara!" A voice called after her, "The one one with the interesting hair. Do you remember me?"

Nara was too preocuppied to answer.
"Tal Daedan. Ravum wia nay havan boan Tyqa" She hissed at the demons.
"Wa wia havan tah boan oa Naralda ar tah boan" Daedan said.
"Either way suits us" He finished in human.

"You're getting this all wrong!" A third voice entered the fray.

Nara and the demon looked over.
The nearest imp jumped at the source of the voice and slashed its claws.

"Really, I'm not in the mood for this!" The voice spat, it's massive hoof slamming into thew creature.
He looked at Viahl.
"You, check a pulse next time."
"You, Serak, stop eating field mushrooms. you smell awful."
The Goliath then turned to Nara.
"And why are you here?"

Nara showed a book, its dark power could be felt emnating from it.
"Demons wanted it to summon... things" Nara muttered.

"And why did you come here alone?" He asked, his large sword in his hand.
A few other voices mumbled from further away, although it would appear they were arguing in some way.

"Because... I do things alone, others get in the way" Naralda hissed.

"Oh, that's nice of you!" One of the last to arrive shouted down at her.
"Get in the way..." He laughed. "Get in the way... you'd be dead if there weren't any others to 'get in the way'."

"You would find the Danam Lord had a weakness in his armor I would of exploited if you hadn't... Interfered" She retorted.

"Well good for you. There's still a million other things that could have happened if there was even one tiny difference-" The voice stopped and lurched into a coughing fit. "-If... if..."

"If...?" Nara asked, barely looking at the person talking.
"I hope you are aware that because you didn't use the correct methods to kill them these demons will revive in Ravum in three days and come after the book again?"

His armour made a slight clinking noise as he raised his arms, exasperated.
"You know what, what, fine - have it your way. But I know that if 'some other person' - that being you - hadn't interfered with my life, I wouldn't be me now. So fine, live like that." He coughed again.
He glared at her, not in anger but in something else, before he shook his head to himself and stalked away.

Naralda's eyes glared at a wall and she touched it.
"Excellent, none of them, demons or... them... will know I left"
She cast a spell then tapped a loose stone, the wall turned so a door opened leading into a cave.
"Ah, intelligent... for a vampire, this is one of the few 'safe' areas of the cave system..." She entered and the wall closed behind her, and no one noticed.

He'd burned something into the ground, that 'M', that looked like a slanted '1' in it's appearance, where people could see it.
He needed people to know his status, what - or who - he was.
He needed someone to give him an answer, or a reason, to why he was alive.
But he felt as empty as he'd ever been.
