"Actually, I doubt he believes that I was intrigued, which I wasn-" Nara choked on the water she was drinking.
"I shouldn't... speak while drinking either" She hissed to herself.

Arcan stared blankly at her.
"When I said 'speak your mind'..."

"..."
"Eh..."
Nara turned around and walked to a door.
"Well... eh... what, do you want me to tell you I enjoyed your compan- Nevermind!"

Arcan facepalmed.
"I want you to tell me the truth. Is it really that hard?!"

"Yes" She said.
"And I enjoyed your company. Is that better? That is your truth"
She sighed.

Arcan shook his head.
"To be honest I can't think of anything to say."

"Eh..." She began.
"Thank Ravum I will not have to endure anymore of his rants" She whispered to herself.

Arcan's status seemed to fold and die.
"Well, thanks anyway. No-one ever stayed, weather they were on my side or not."

"I see..." She said.
She looked at the door.
"Please don't go" She muttered.

"What...?" Arcan glanced back at her.

She shook her head.
"It... does not matter..." She said.
She looked at the door and put its focus crystal back into place.

"Oh."
Arcan said, glancing at the ground.
"Ehm... unless there's something you want to talk to me about, I... the others don't know where I went..." He said, his throat a little sore.

"Well, I could transport you to the surface?" She suggested.
"Inless you feel like fighting whatever monsters are behind this door"

Arcan sighed.
"Maybe."

"Well, decide please, I want to find out what is behind this door" She said.
She went over to the door and tapped something.

Arcan grumbled to himself.
"I'd stay..."

Myrien scrambled to his feet, dagger in his shaking, pale fingers. "Who are you?"

"I am a Mathica, and I have poor news for you."

Myrien remained silent. His face was pale, eyes flickering over to Dynis.

"I am... sorry." The female Mathica said to him, looking in the same direction.
"I would think it highly probable she will have sustained very severe damage."
Or, in the strange talk of Mathica;
I think she's a gonner.

"She is dead. I feel it."
Myrien slowly walked over to Dynis, who still lay sprawled out with her left leg swollen and deformed.
Hesitating, he touched her cheek.

It was cold. A raindrop ran down her eye. It did not close.

Myrien turned around.
"All was in vain."

Larhan turned to her relative.
"Can you save her?"
"Possibly."
"Then do it!"
"No."
She blinked.
"W...why?"
The Mathica shifted oddly.
"It is not right, and it may not work. It is risky and it is not worth that risk."
Larhan looked at her friends... friend.
"W...what do we do?" She asked helplessly.
It felt like someone had torn all of the inside of her out and just left her skin.

"Farewell, Larhan."
Myrien lifted the blade that he had held limply in his hand. Rain running down his light hair and wetting his face, he set it to his throat.
"It can only become better after this."

Larhan turned sharply. "Myrien!"
He shook his head, defiantly and yet in an admittance of defeat.
"Even nothingness would be better than this. Life is without hope. Without light."

Larhan blinked a tear out of her eye.
"I can't go with you."
Not yet.
Not now.
She swallowed, her throat dry.
"But why?"

"Nothing is left that is dear to me. All is gone. This life is pointless. Only death is eternal."
He pressed the blade harder to his throat. "I hope we meet again."

Larhan looked into Myrien's eyes.
"If you find her, tell her you more than friends to me. You were the only family I ever had."
She breathed more shakily.
"Your life was not pointless. Remember how we met. Not nothing. Maybe we will meet again, Myrien. I hope so."
She sighed.
"Oh, and Myrien? Never get raised." She shook her head. "It's not a pleasant feeling."
