The the rain did not stop. The three sat under a steel-grey sky and waited. Dynis did not wake.
Nor did Cahan come.

Cahan nodded.
"They were heading for the village too. Can you move her?"

Only then did Cahan notice the tears in the corner of his eye.
"She has fainted again."
He sighed, blinking. His heart was heavy.
"I fear for her life."
Myrien walked back to where the two others stood. "Come. I will carry her."

Larhan went to speak with the people who had stopped to help them.

Dynis was light. Her thin body lay, frail and lifeless, in Myrien's arms. He was careful not to touch her leg.
Accompanied by Cahan, the two approached the caravan.

Cahan glanced at Dynis.
The owner of the caravan watched them intently.
Larhan helped Myrien.

"Greetings", Myrien called out to him. His voice was hollow. Noone could overhear the lament in his voice, the hopelessness.

The owned nodded silently.
Larhan watched Dynis.
"This is my fault..." She said.

A makeshift stretcher for Dynis was made. She lay on it, chest still feebly rining and sinking, but no sound came from her lips.
Myrien turned to Larhan. "What do you mean?"

"I'm the one who thought of leaving." She said, sniffing sadly.

"You could not forsee this, Larhan. None of us could. Don't feel guilty."
He paused, then his voice broke. "If she goes from us... it would only be her will."
"What do you mean?"
"She has fled all her life. First because of her parents, then because of her powers. She never wanted it. She wanted peace. She wanted adventure as she dreamed of it. But never this."
A tear leaked from Myrien's eye. "Two nights ago... she told me this. She said that she loved me, but could not go on."
Myrien buried his face in his hands and sobbed.
"She said farewell."

Larhan put her hand on his shoulder.
"Myrien, I believe I havn't told you about... my parents."

Larhan shifted as the caravan moved.
"They died protecting me and Arcan."
She looked angry then.
"And look what the dithering idiot did to their name... our name!"
The amulet she wore glowed a little.
She took it in her hand and looked at it, then held it close to her.
"Maybe, maybe..." She seemed to talk to it.

"Arcan, you mean?"
They walked next to the caravan slowly, hoods dripping, their clothes soaked through for hours.

Then the blue gen turned red.
Larhan shouted something, but not before a white light half-blinded her...

Larhan grabbed Myrien and shoved him out of the way of a flaming object, slamming into the ground.

"Damn! Not again!", he screamed, grasping for his dagger.
The scabbard was empty, the blade fallen into the mud.
He stumbled to his feet, frantically looking for the attacker.

Larhan was bust staring at the... thing.
"Myrien?' She asked quietly, as it rose.

OOC: You'll have to describe the things for me to respond to them. I don't know what the "thing" looks like, what it is etc.

Myrien bent and lifted up the dirk, but did not reply. He walked backwards with unsure, stumbling steps.

The creature was almost hazy, as if it wasn't really there.
It stood half a foot taller than Myrien, but seemed female.
She looked around with some interest, then a soft, half-there voice came from the fragile-looking half-there golden armour, showed body, and it's elegantly winged helmet.
It's appearance was similar to Arcan in the way that he shadowed himself.
The thing that made Larhan stare at her, was the symbol that had come to symbolize so many things:
The stylized 'M' rune of the Mathica.
What it said was just as surprising.
"Your brother is dying".

Hal rose and appeared in the sky in plain view of the soldiers, his red scales flashing in the suns light. He ignored the mortals.

She stared at the sky.
