Time of Darkness

- Region -
"He was not here, apart from Arcan, and some others, the only thing here are Talcans" She said, walking on.
"Why did you run away from him?"

- Region -

"Well, I suppose you know I've been in his fort all my life, almost. It got... boring. That's the only reason I met you before. A... while ago."
Larhan rubbed her eyes.
"You know the son of the one who attacked him, I think."

- Region -
"I... the only person I can think of... Serak?" Naralda asked Curiously.
She glanced at a hill nearby lost in thought.
"I wonder..."

- Region -

"His mother trusted Arcan because he could have killed her. He didn't, though. Perhaps it was a moment of sanity in this clouded mind."
She sighed.


- A long time before Nara killed Arcan -

Arcan watched Narsara.
Two days, five hours, and about twenty minutes.
If he had trusted her before, he really didn't now.
He watched the marsh, though, with interest.
Moving any closer, however, meant letting Narsara out from under his claw.
He was tired, though...
"So, you can... hold us both here, and we can die of starvation, or you could just... move?"
Arcan let his eye fall to her.
She did have a point... but...
He lifted his claw slightly.
"Fine. Just, don't do anything. Ever, again. Like that."
She shrugged.
"It was that or cough up your own-"
Arcan held up his clawed hand to silence her.
A tree nearby exploded, showering them with bits of wood and leaves.

- Region -
Nara thought for a moment.
"I see, why didn't he kill her then?"

- Region -

"Well, for one thing he wasn't in a... position to fight."
Larhan shrugged.
"To be honest with you? I don't know."

- Region -
"Well, this way" She said, turning.
"I think he might be heading for Bloodrose field, marvellous area, the Bloodroses are great for..." She stopped.
"Oh, your not interested in what correctly brewed bloodroses can do I assume?"

- Region -

"It serves as a substitute of blood for vampires." Larhan said.
She looked at the place.
"Something feels bad. About this place."

Nara stopped to scent the air as they got to the first blood roses.
"Deltaria's" Nara hissed.
"'Deltaria stands for Dark Legion in Demonic. A more suitable translation is 'Daemon'" She explained, picking up a couple of blood roses.
"These will be useful"

- Blood-rose place thingy -

"Why?" Larhan asked. "Are there any vampires around?"


- Other area -

"Uh, yeah. Anyway, I'm afraid that I'm getting a bit peckish." Viahl said.
Arcan's 'eyes' winked on and off in a sort of blink, although he had no eyes and no reason to blink.
"Huh, look at them, not me." He jerked a thumb as the plants.

- Blood Rose Fields -
"Bloodrose, when properly brewed into a potion, makes a potion capable of stopping a Vampires hunger for Two days." Nara said.
"However, bloodroses in their plant form, have two other, less know purposes; Firstly, the blood rose can be eaten to heal minor wounds. Secondly, it is a key ingredient in making 'Virus' Armor and weapons"

- Blood rose fields -

"Virus?" Larhan asked.


- Ditto -

Arcan prodded one of the plants with his claw.
"Uh, I'm still worried about getting stuck..."

"Very effective, it, from what I understand, Channels Magical abilites to make the weapon or armor stronger, not good for mages though, and Virus armor and weapons are very rare. I don't think one has been made for seventy years" Nara said.

Larhan coughed.
"If you don't mind me asking, you said yo didn't want to kill my brother. Why did you?"

- Blood Rose Fields -
"Ah, I got angry at something, and I accidently landed too many blade slashes..." Nara said sadly.
"And No, I am not telling you what I got angry at"

- Blood Rose Fields -

"I'd guess he'd have said some... bad things, maybe a... few untrue things about you, your mind, that sort of thing."
Larhan shrugged.
"Doesn't really matter..."

- Blood Rose Field -
"No..." She said, lapsing into a deathly silence.
Nara walked on and picked up some more bloodroses then took a purple crystal from under her cloak and help it in her hand, clutching it tightly.

- Blood Rose Field -

Larhan's gaze was drawn to an amulet that Nara would recognise as the same as Arcan's.
"Huh. That's odd." She said.


Arcan held up his own.
A smile flickered on his face.
"Alright, then. If you're there, I'll find you."

- Blood Rose Field -
Nara thought while walking.
"Something wrong?" She asked quietly, she then muttered,
"Tal Kar, vay sar Naaval Taty"
She looked at the crystal in her hand.
"No... nothing..."

- Blood Rose Field -

"What?" Larhan asked, looking up.

Arcan got out the red stone and turned it over a few times.
"You might want to watch where you wave that thing around," Viahl eyed it.

- Blood rose Fields -
Nara muttered another phrase in demonic, expecting a result.
"Ta; nay thar" Nothing happened.
"Err, sorry, were you...?"

- Blood rose field -

Larhan looked a little confused.
"Do you know what this is?" She asked, adressing her amulet and it's enclosed gem.

Arcan put the stone away.
"Still..." He said to himself.

- Blood rose field -
Nara looked up.
"Never seen anything like it before" She stated.
Nara turned again.

- Blood rose field -

Larhan tucked the thing away.
"I still don't understand so much about him. He doesn't seem to have a constant personality."
She stopped and looked at something.
"What is that?"

- Blood rose Field -
"That... is a... Death Imp..." She said quietly.
"Nasty kind of Demon, those spikes are very poisonious, not that bad at spell either, their hearing and eyesight is terrible however with few rare exceptions"
"If you mean the other creature, that is a Crimsonia, the giant red mantis creature"

- Blood rose Field -

"Of course." Larhan said.
She toyed with a ball of fire.
"I do know Arcan has a disliking for this place..."
