Time of Darkness

- Aduna -
The elf looked up slightly. She frowned as it became dark.
"I thought it was high noo- Maybe, I've never really been able to tell the time..." She shrugged. Nara reached out for her sword as another guard walked past. He jumped at him and knocked him out before he could notice anything. Nara searched him, found keys and a dagger, took them then hid the unconscious body.

- Mathica Fortress -

The old Mathica looked at Khear.
"Ride the shadows. We have little time..." He sighed.
"What of... her?" It asked.
"She is of little concern. But feel free to kill her if you see her."
Khaer giggled, then faded to nothing.

- Aduna, Throne room -
The lich walked around the room angrily.
He made a mental reminder to punish those incompetent palace guards Tom and Bill.
He walked over to a portrait.
"Kalcan... it is a shame you never managed to discover the spell... your knowledge would of been useful..." Kelen said to the portrait.

- Aduna -

Nara finished moving the guards unconscious body and checked the keys.
"This one is the palace's secret entrance. Excellent." She murmered.
She rushed down the alleyway, hiding occasionally at the sound of booted feet.

> Some time later,
- Aduna -

"Your mind, it really is a wealt of knowledge!" Khaer chittered on, looking at the three weary people behind him.
"Mathica..?"
All three seemed to emerge from some sort of half-dream at the mention of the name.
The one he'd repeared hadn't said anyhting. He'd just stared at him and vomited several times.
Splendid!
His green eyes, he'd imagined them to be a little more... powerful.
Khaer couldn't kill Narsara while Arcan was there, and Khaer could not kill Arcan or his sister.
Frustration.

- Aduna -
Nara walked to the places hidden door.
She put the key into the lock and turned it.
The door did not open.

- Aduna -

Khaer continued chittering on and on about something to do with 'rise to power' and 'the song of shadows'.
Arcan felt like pulling his hair.
Suddenly the blood creature shut up.
"Skee...! Nighsorroah?"
"Skee? I?" Arcan frowned. He could barely walk and this thing was stringing together "Kill Nightsorrow."
"Nightsorrow... sounds like a sword or soemthing... of a knife..." He mumbled.
"Dusk comes before night. You have no words for the dusk." Narsara said.
Arcan shook himself.
"Skee!? Kill Dusksorrow? Where are we?"
Khaer frowned.
"Aduna. Please do not shout. They are close."
Arcan blinked in confusion.
"Kill Dusksorrow... Why?"
"Killed you. Master."
"Don't call me that." He said, half-heartedly.
"But... you are the second song of shadows. The first sent me." Khaer stated.
"Kill... Dusksorrow?" Arcan's eyes focused a little more.

- Aduna -

Nara sighed slightly.
She held out her left hand and a icy aura appeared and floated towards the door.
It touched the metal, and completely froze the door. Naralda then made some slight motions with her hand. The ice cracked and fell apart. The door came crashing down. She stepped into the tunnel behind the door.

- Aduna -

Arcan ended up shaking his head.
"But, you know how to do that, do you not?" Khaer probed.
Narsara scowled.
"'Do that?'" Arcan sighed. "What, destroy pretty much everything that means anything to me? Myself, for example?"
Khaer shrugged.
"Someone else helped. Is that not... why you hated her? Both of them?"
"Care to explain that in a little more detail?" Arcan crossed his arms. "Sorry, painful subject."

- Aduna -

Naralda walked down the hallway for afew seconds.
She heard walking and moved into the shadows.
A guard stopped and looked around.
Naralda pounced at him and quickly drew the stolen dagger and stabbed him.
"This is too easy..." She hissed quietly.

- Aduna -

Khaer said nothing.
Arcan snorted.
"I see. Still, this is... too..." He shook his head. "Why haven't we been attacked, or killed, or something...?"

- Aduna -

Two of the Dusksorrow's Signature Undead, Spectral Rippers, ran past Arcan, Five more guards followed paying the party no heed, the guards and undead stopped, turned then ran towards the palace.

- Aduna -

Larhan shook her head, unsure of what to make of anything at all.
Arcan trailed after them slowly.
"Strange." Khaer said.

- Aduna -

The guards rushed into a passge where a frozen door lay at the floor.
The undead stopped then quickly followed into the dark passage way.
Two guards then exited and took up guard positions outside.

- Aduna -

Arcan observed the guards.
"Skee." He stated.

- Aduna -

The two guards whispered to eachother urgently.
They both looked like Veterans and Professional Aduna Guards.
"So, heard about the farmers pigs being eaten by a banshee?"

- Aduna -

Arcan sighed, and decided to use a ranged assault.
He flicked a pebble at one of the guards.
"Are you deaf? I said Skee."

- Aduna -
The guard that was hit by the pebble fell onto the floor.
The second guard got out a fire bomb and tried throwing it.
It landed on his feet and set him aflame. He burned to ashes quickly.
The first guard got up and got out a bow and tried firing a arrow. The arrow flew into the sky and then fell. It hit him in the chest. He fell over. Dead.

- Aduna -

Arcan burst out laughing.
"Seriously? Even I could survive longer!"

- Aduna -

A figure covered with armour except for his head walked out.
Silver skulls decorated his armour while Short silver hair that curled upwards slightly made it hard to see his face.
His hand moved to remove the hair in front of his face so he could see you better.
It was Alazan Dusksorrow.
"Arcan... What a pleasure to see you... But this is truly a bittersweet reunion... Truly! For I fear this is the last time I will see you alive!" He cackled.

- Aduna -

"I'd launch a load of big forces on you myself, Dusksorrow, but I'm afraid the... other... has retaken his fortress. I didn't do this to the sky." Arcan eyed the darkness in the air.
"I have a question." Narsara said. "Reunion?"

- Aduna -
"Hehahahah... enough, I'll leave you to get... acquainted..." He cackled.
He drew a sword into his left hand and then plunged it into the ground before withdrawing.
"I came across this curiosity by accident... still..." He walked off.
The Ground shook as something tunneled its way out.
A skeletal dragon emerged. Though it couldn't use it skeletal wings.

- Aduna -

"Eee! Master! I have your dragon. Fixed.!" Khaer chirped.
Arcan shook his head.
"What?"

- Aduna -

The skeletal dragon roared then blew a icy wind at you with its winds.
A ice ball slowly formed in its mouth, slowly becoming bigger.
The dragon then flung the ice ball at Arcan.

- Aduna -

Larhan summoned up a beam of lightning and stremed it at the dragon while Arcan shielded himself.
The flimsly thing, not too surprisingly, splintered and caused Arcan to back away.
Khaer slid along the ground towards the dragon.

- Aduna -

The Skeletal dragon hissed, and threw three split frostballs at Arcan and Larhan.
It then snapped its jaws at Khaer then turned back to Arcan.
It flung another Iceball.

- Aduna -

Arcan raised anoter shield, which, he felt, was draining him quite rapidly.
Narsara drew up a flame creature.
"I don't think he liked you making his guards kill themselves." She told Arcan, sending it to fight the large skeletal creature.
"That was not my fault. If Dusksorrow had any sense, he'd get troops who actually had a brain between them! Like, say, you. Or our bloody friend. He doesn't have a proper brain but he'd be better." Arcan said, finding some cover.
